{"id":4603,"date":"2017-01-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-01-17T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.astim.it\/luniversita-firenze-si-affida-ai-sistemi-st-m-le-attivita-ricerca-ed-esplorazione-dellambiente\/"},"modified":"2017-01-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-01-17T00:00:00","slug":"luniversita-firenze-si-affida-ai-sistemi-st-m-le-attivita-ricerca-ed-esplorazione-dellambiente","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.astim.it\/en\/luniversita-firenze-si-affida-ai-sistemi-st-m-le-attivita-ricerca-ed-esplorazione-dellambiente\/","title":{"rendered":"WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORENCE FOR RESEARCH AND EXPLORATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>An infrared observation system for the department of Production and Agri-Environmental Sciences <\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Successfully continues the collaboration between A.ST.I.M. and the academic world: the last university to enter the orbit of A.ST.I.M. is the University of Florence, which commissioned the supplying of an <strong>infrared observation system<\/strong> for inspections in low\u00a0visibility conditions and in total darkness, allocated to its department of Production and Agri-Environmental Sciences (DISPAA).<\/p>\n<p>The device, delivering\u00a0in these weeks, is able to detect the presence of human beings and animals, using a detection range up to 350 meters deep; it represents, thus, an effective <strong>support for the activities of observation<\/strong>, mapping and research of the natural and environmental heritage.<\/p>\n<p>For A.ST.I.M. this is the <strong>first delivery<\/strong> made to the University of Florence: a new collaboration, which is in addition to those with other Italian universities, including Catania, Genoa and Trieste, of which the company is already a technical partner.
