This devices are designed for offshore operations and they boast of a special floating system specifically studied
This important supply, commissioned to A.ST.I.M and destined to the Italian Guardia di Finanza, of infrared observation systems for important operations as: protection of maritime borders, operations against smuggling and search and rescue. the contract regards 60 Binocular FLIR devices for night observation activities with thermal vision equipped by medium range detection capabilities and designed appositely for difficult conditions, including those offshore.
For the first time, those cameras are equipped with a special floating system in case of falling in sea; developed thanks to a special collaboration project between A.ST.IM and a leading developer of technical materials for underwater activities, already supplier of numerous military and paramilitary forces. Thanks to a baldric made with a particular type of neoprene and some innovative technical solutions, this system serves to keep afloat all full load device specially in case of fall, and at the same time to ensure a good ergonomics and comfort during the use.
These cameras ensure also high-definition images at any weather conditions, day and night, making them resistant to temperature changes, humidity and saltiness, as well as shock and vibration. Thanks to their advanced technical solutions these devices will be used for intelligence activities.
